The University of Wisconsin Badgers Women’s Basketball team is in search for their next head coach as Marisa Moseley has stepped down after four seasons at the helm.
According to multiple sources, this was Moseley’s decision. She likely would have been terminated with cause due to abuse allegations if she didn’t step down on her own.
Moseley finishes her four-year tenure with a 47-75 (.385) overall record, including a 21-51 (.292) mark in Big Ten conference play as well as 0-4 in the conference tournament.
Speaking from experience, coaching is a tough world.
Moseley needed to go. Just not the results needed in any aspect of the job …. winning games, recruiting, player development, etc..
I have no faith that Athletic Director Chris McIntosh has any clue what is needed to turn around this mess of a program.
The bar to top this hire is LOW, but if it’s like every other hire he (McIntosh) makes, it’ll be an under-qualified buddy.
They need to hire a female version of Dick Bennett. Start with fundamentals and rebuild everything. Focus on decent, smart in-state players.
Whoever the next head coach is, they will have a major rebuild on their hands both on and off the court. I’m quite concerned McIntosh will botch this hire badly.
